Projects
A project is a folder for sessions on one study. Create one from Projects in the sidebar, then start chats inside it or move existing chats in.

The project page lists its recent chats and every artifact those chats produced, so a study's outputs are in one place.
Memory
As chats in a project progress, the agent keeps the facts that were actually settled — "the primary outcome is PSS-10", "use APA 7" — as project memory, and every later chat in the project starts with them. A memory editor in Customize is on the way; until then the agent maintains memory on its own and you can ask a chat what it remembers ("what do you know about this project?").
Memory is per project. A chat outside any project shares nothing with other chats; it uses only your profile-level Instructions for Neutropic (Customize → General), which apply everywhere.
Sessions
Each chat is a session with its own uploads and artifacts. Rename a session from its title, or from the more menu in the chat list; delete it there as well (artifacts go with it).
Long sessions can be compacted with /compact — the conversation is summarized so later turns keep the context without the cost. Ask it to keep specific details: "keep the SUS and NASA-TLX results by version".
