What it does — and doesn't
The Gmail connector is send-only. It asks Google for one permission, send email on your behalf, so the agent can deliver a message or a session file from your address. It cannot search, read or delete anything in your mailbox. (Reading mail would require Google's restricted scopes and a yearly security audit; we chose not to.)
Connect
Open Customize → Connectors and turn on Gmail. Google's consent screen shows the single scope; approve and you land back in Neutropic with your address shown. Tokens are stored encrypted on the server; Disconnect deletes and revokes them (you can also remove Neutropic under Google Account → Security → Third-party access).
Permissions, tool by tool
Both tools start as Ask each time — every send shows you an approval card with the recipients, subject and attachments before anything leaves your account.

A per-account limit (50 recipients per day by default) keeps the connector for correspondence, not campaigns.
Use it in a chat
- "E-mail the analysis report to my supervisor as a PDF with a two-line summary" → the agent writes the note, attaches the report, and asks you to approve the send.
- "Send the participants in reminders.csv a reminder for tomorrow's session" → one message per batch of recipients from your upload, each approved by you.
From the artifact panel
Open a report or manuscript, click the download icon → Connected apps → Gmail: fill in To, Subject and an optional note, choose the attachment format, and send. The message is sent right away — the panel path is a direct action, not a tool call.
